Minor MLB Transactions: 3/9/18

Here are the day’s minor moves:

  • The Tigers have agreed with righty Donovan Hand on a minor-league deal, per Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston (via Twitter). Assuming he passes a physical, the 31-year-old Hand will move from the MLBPA camp to join the Tigers in Lakeland, though he’s not expected to go to the big-league side. Hand was a useful member of the Brewers staff in 2013 but hasn’t seen a significant MLB opportunity since. He pitched in the upper minors for the Mets last year, working to a 5.99 ERA with 5.9 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 in 139 2/3 total frames.
